Had a photoshoot for Mother’s Day with my good friend Val and her family. We met at the “Flower Fields” in Carlsbad, a beautiful place where  you can experience all kinds of flowers and plants, perfect for the family and of course perfect for portraits.

On this assignment I used the beloved Zeiss 85mm f1.4 lens. I love this lens, especially with the beautiful colors from the flowers.

When Derrick told me he had a location in mind for the photo session, I was not expecting something that great. The three old horse stables worked perfect with the rustic look he wanted. Amedeo Tessuti of Brea, CA, has received special honors in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL 2010 WPPI 1st Half International Photography Competition. Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Culver City, CA on September, 2010.

“Ahoy!” received an Accolade of Excellence in the Individual category. Tessuti competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors. The WPPI 1st Half International Photography Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. nThe 2010 competition included 2511 images in 17 different categories submitted by photographers from all over the world.

What a beautiful day, sun was up and the temperature was really perfect for a fantastic photoshoot. As always, had great time and Asher was having a blast with his Spiderman costume. Thank you Lisa and Trent for trusting me with your family portraits, once again.

It was great been part of Headshine’s CD release event in Lakewood, CA. I had the pleasure to meet Ras parents. His mother is from my hometown, how interesting… what a small world. Gary, Jeff, Laura, Gigi and I visited Portland and the Vancouver (WA) area where Gary’s family lives. The long weekend included great time with the family, celebration of Mother’s Day, fun urban photography of Portland and great family portraits. Thanks everybody* for making our first visit to Vancouver/Portland a memorable one. *Maureen (Mom), Paul (Dad), Patrick, Lori, Alison, Quinn, Morgan, Demian, Megan, Bastian and last but not least Anteus.

We met with the band in a industrial area of Fullerton late in the afternoon. Brian, Andrew, Chris and Jackob came ready to “Rock ‘n Roll”. The photo shoot started with Brian in front of a big metal door. second was Andrew posing for a very simple but yet powerful shot in front of a wall. With Chris an Jackob we decided to move across the train tracks by an old shack. At the end, I shot some photos of the band together to conclude the experience with some old classic attitude.
